The meter

Green means in tune.

A second colour channel reads accuracy, not pitch. The LED meter runs amber while you’re off and resolves to one clean green the moment you’re within four cents — no numbers to read, no guessing.

Way off

Segments light wide in red the further your string sits from the target pitch.

Closing in

Amber narrows toward the centre as you turn the peg the right way.

In tune

A single tall green bar and a soft haptic the instant you land it.

Questions

Which instruments can Centz tune?

Guitar, bass, ukulele and banjo — with standard plus drop, open and alternate tunings, and every string shown in its own colour. Auto mode finds the string for you, or pick it yourself.

How accurate is the tuner?

Centz reads pitch to within a few cents and locks to a single clean green the moment you land it. A fine mode zooms the meter in on the last few cents for a precise setting.

Can I change the reference pitch?

Yes. Tune to any concert pitch from A = 430 to 446 Hz, with one-tap presets for 432, 440 and 442 Hz.

Does Centz record me or need the internet?

No. Centz listens through the microphone and analyses pitch live on your device — nothing is ever recorded or sent anywhere, and it works fully offline.
