Information we collect

None. Chordology does not ask you to create an account and does not gather personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts or any usage analytics. Everything you do in the app — the chords you browse, instruments you pick, tunings you set — stays on your device.

How the app works

• On-device only. All chord, scale and audio functionality is computed locally. The app does not require an internet connection to work.
• No analytics or tracking. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. There are no cookies or device identifiers collected by us.
• Your settings. Preferences such as your chosen instrument, view and tuning are stored locally on your device so the app remembers them between sessions.

Purchases

Any in-app purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Chordology never sees or stores your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Sharing a chord

If you choose to share a chord from the app, the content is sent only to the recipient and through the app or service you select using your device’s standard share sheet. Chordology does not route this through, or retain a copy on, any server of ours.

Children’s privacy

Chordology is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. Because we don’t collect contact information, material changes will be reflected here rather than sent to you directly.
